Find the median of the first ten prime numbers?

Compute the median of the first ten prime numbers.

We know that the first ten prime numbers are 2,3,5,7,11,13,17,19,23,29.

The number of observations, n=10.

So here the median is the mean of the n2th term and n2+1th term. That is,

n2=102th term

=5th term

=11

and

n2+1=102+1th term

=6th term

=13

Median =11+132

=242=12

Hence, the median of the first ten prime numbers is 12.
