Find the median of the first ten prime numbers?

Solution:

The first 10 prime numbers are 2, 3, 5, 7, 11, 13, 17, 19, 23, 29.

Here number of terms = 10.

So median is the mean of (n/2)th term and [(n/2)+1] th term.

Here it is mean of 5th and 6th term.

Median = (11 + 13)/2

= 24/2

= 12

Hence the median of the first ten prime numbers is 12.
