Solution

Antacids:-

  1. Antacids are substances that contain no acid.
  2. They neutralise the reaction of acids that are present in our stomach.
  3. When we suffer from acidity, these antacids are used in order to reduce the acidity.
  4. Antacids are nothing but alkaline ions.
  5. Some common examples are CaCO3 (calcium carbonate), (magnesium hydroxide) Mg(OH)2, and (aluminium hydroxide) Al2(OH)3, etc.

Therefore, magnesium hydroxide Mg(OH)2 is an example of a substance which does not contain acid.
