Step 1: Calculating the ratio

To dilute concentrated Hydrochloric acid to make 10% Hydrochloric acid, 90%will be water

Therefore, the proportion of Water and Hydrochloric acid taken is 9:1,

That means for 100ml 10%HCl, to 90ml Water add 10ml of Hydrochloric acid should be taken.

Therefore, to give 10%HCl , take Water and Hydrochloric acid in of 9:1 ratio.
