  2. Among all these pollutants released by vehicles, lead is the most harmful pollutant to humans.
  3. Lead has toxic components that when gets into the body affect the organs in the body.
  4. Lead poisoning happens when a person is exposed to very high levels of lead over a prolonged period of time.
  5. Prolonged exposure to lead may even cause brain cancer and lead to death.
  6. Therefore it is advised to be careful and avoid these harmful pollutants.
  7. Following are the effects of lead on the human body:
  • Abdominal pain
  • Constipation
  • Nausea
  • Headache
  • Irritability
  • Loss of appetite
  • Loss of memory
  • Pain or tingling in the hands and/or feet
  • Anemia
  • Weakness
  • Kidney and brain damage.
