Solution

Step 1: Compute the total sales for two weeks:

Value of books sold in the first week =Rs2,85,891

Value of books sold in the second week =Rs4,00,768

Total sales of two weeks

=2,85,891+4,00,768=Rs6,86,659

Step 2: Find the difference between the first and second week:

Clearly, the week 2 has greater sales than a week 1.

The difference in sales =Week2 - Week1

=4,00,768-2,85,891=1,14,877

The sale of the week 2 is Rs1,14,877 greater than a week1.

Hence, sales for the week 2 are greater than a week 1by Rs1,14,877.
