Sprouting:

  1. Sprouting is the natural phenomenon of germination by which seeds or spores bring out shoots, plants produce new leaves or buds, or other newly developing parts experience further growth.
  2. For example Mung bean sprouts from the greenish-capped mung beans.
  3. Sprouts are very rich in many nutrients like protein, folate, magnesium, phosphorus, manganese, and vitamins C and K.
  4. It improves digestion and the level of our blood sugar.
  5. It helps in increasing the protein content in our body.
  6. The germination process causes degradation of the starch present in the seeds and it makes the percentage of nutrients more.
