How to calculate the value of g at the surface of Earth? (5.97x10^24 kg, 6378 km) , Moon? (7.35x1022 kg, 1738 km) and Mars? (0.642x1024 kg, 3396 km)

We know that

G = 6.67*10^-11 N m²/kg²

Given g of earth = 9.8378 m/s² , g of moon = 1.623 m/s² , g of mars = 3.714 m/s²

Using formula –

g = GM/R²

1) g earth = 6.67*10^-11 × 6*10^24/(6.378*10^6)²

= 9.8378 m/s²

2)g moon = 6.67*10^-11 × 7.35*10^22/(1.738*10^6)²

= 1.623 m/s²

3) g mars = 6.67*10^-11 × 0.642*10^24/(3.396*10^6)²

= 3.714 m/s²
