Converting a Decimal into a Fraction

  1. Remove the decimal point and count the number of digits after the decimal. let the number of digits be x.
  2. Append x number of zeroes to 1 and put the term in the denominator of the number obtained after removing the decimal point from the given number.
  3. Reduce the fraction to the simplest form after canceling all the common factors.

Example : Convert 0.125 into fraction.

0.125=1251000

After cancelling common factors,

0.125=18

So, fractional form of 0.125 is 18.
