In an npn transistor, the collector current is 24 mA. If 80% of electrons reach collector, its base current in mA is

We know that, Ie = Ic  +  Ib
Given 80% of Ie =  Ic = 24 mA

(80/100) I=24mA

Ie= (24×100)/80

Ie = 30 mA

Ib = Ie –  Ic

    = (30 – 24)  mA
    = 6 mA
