In inductance, there is opposition to the growth of current, it is due to

Solution

Inductor

  1. An inductor is a passive electric component, where the magnetic field is stored as energy.
  2. Inductance is a property of the inductor to prevent current change. When a unit current flows in a circuit, then the magnetic flux associated with the circuit is called inductance.
  3. Inductance depends on the number of turns in the inductor coil, the character of the material, and also on the radius of the coil.

The opposition to the current growth

  1. Inductors are used to store the magnetic energy in them. When a constant magnetic field is generated in the Inductor, it will not change after.
  2. Magnetic flux , ϕ=LI, where L is the inductance and I is the current flow through it. To maintain the magnetic flux, the inductor will prevent changing circuit current.
  3. From Lenz's law, the direction of the induced current is always such as to oppose the cause that produced it.
  4. To resist the current growth (rate of change of current) the inductor will be produced an opposing electromotive force, to counter it.
  5. This electromotive force is, ε=-LdIdt.

Why do inductors oppose changes in current? - Quora

The opposition of inductance to the growth of current is due to the maintenance of the magnetic field by the inductor at a constant amount.
