Is South Asia democratic?

Answer:

Yes, there is democracy in South Asia, but not all countries in South Asia are democracies. India is located in South Asia and it is the World’s largest democracy. Apart from India, there is Parliamentary form of democracy in Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh, and Pakistan. Sri Lanka and Maldives are unitary states. Sri Lanka has a semi-presidential Government and Maldives has a Presidential Government. In both countries, the Governments are accountable to the elected legislatures.

Bhutan is a Constitutional monarchy, Bangladesh is a Unitary Republic. India, Nepal, and Pakistan are Federal Republics. All the Constitutions of South Asian countries have given importance to the Fundamental Rights of the citizens.
