Lenz’s law obeys the law of conservation of energy and Newton’s third law.

Lenz’s law states that:

The induced electromotive force with different polarities induces a current whose magnetic field opposes the change in magnetic flux through the loop in order to ensure that original flux is maintained through the loop when current flows in it.

Now as we know Lenz law let us now learn how it obeys the law of conservation of energy and Newton’s third law

Lenz law and law of conservation of energy

Lenz’s law is based on the law of conservation of energy. From the statement of Lenz’s law, we know that the induced current is always opposed by the cause that produces it. Therefore, we can see that there is extra work done against the opposing force. The work is done against the opposing force effects in the change in the magnetic flux and hence the current is induced. The extra work done is called electrical energy which is the law of conservation of energy.

Lenz Law and Newton’s third law

Lenz’s law further obeys Newton’s third law of motion (which says to every action there is always an equal and opposite reaction). If the induced current generates a magnetic field that is equal and opposite to the direction of the magnetic field that creates it, then only it can counter the change in the magnetic field in the area. This shows it goes in accordance with Newton’s third law of motion.
