Solution
Maximum biological damage:
Maximum biological damage is caused due to exposure to high doses of radiation.
High doses of radiation can kill many cells that tissues and organs may get damaged.
Besides death, there are several other possible effects of a high radiation dose.
It affects the skin including sunburn, peeling, and blistering.
Hair loss can occur after acute doses of about 500rad.
Sterility can be temporary or permanent in males, depending upon the dose, while in females it is usually permanent, but it requires a higher dose.
Cataracts (clouding of the lens of the eye) appear to have a threshold of about 200rad.
