Pollination is the transfer of pollen grains from the anther to stigma. It can take place through one of these ways:
- Autogamy – Pollen of the same flower may fall on its stigma by itself
- Allogamy – Pollen of a flower of another plant of the same species can fall on the stigma
- Geitonogamy – Pollen of another flower of the same plant can fall on the stigma
