Enzymes are polypeptides. Chemically, peptide linkage is an amide formed between -COOH group and -NH2 group. When the number of amino acids is more than ten, then the products are called polypeptides.

Peptide linkage

The amide linkage(-CO-NH-) developed between two molecules of alpha-amino acid, with the loss of water molecules in a polypeptide is called peptide linkage.
