   1. Boil the leaf in water for 1-2 mins, it is done to kill the leaf and to stop any metabolic activities.
   2. Remove the leaf from the boiling water and add a heat-resistant glass with1 cup of alcohol and place the glass inside the water.
   3. Put the boiled leaf inside the alcohol and boil it.
   4. After an hour of boiling the leaf will lose all its color and will be transparent and the alcohol would have a green color.
4. Hence, alcohol removes the chlorophyll from the leaf.
