Solution

Nitrogen:-

  1. It is basically a chemical element which is colorless, odorless, and unreactive in nature.
  2. It is a readily unreactive element because of the presence of the triple bond between the Nitrogen molecule and the requirement of the high bond dissociation energy.
  3. The amino acid consists of Nitrogen, which is the main component.
  4. Nitrogen is basically bound to the alpha-carbon atom present in the amino group of all the amino acids.
  5. Proteins are the major molecules which are made up of the building block which are these amino acids.
  6. The synthesis of protein is just impossible in the absence of the Nitrogen molecule as such proteins are the biopolymers of the amino acids.

Therefore, Nitrogen is the most essential element in proteins.
