Conjugate acids:

  1. Conjugate acids and bases are those whose members can be produced from one another by the gain or loss of protons.
  2. One conjugate pair is formed by the stronger acid and the weaker base, while another pair is created by the stronger base and the weaker acid.
  3. A conjugate acid has one additional H atom and a positive charge than the base from which it was produced.
  4. A conjugate base has one more negative charge and one fewer H atom than the acid it forms.
  5. The conjugates are always stated on the reaction's product side.
  6. A strong conjugate base is formed by weak acid and vice versa.
1. NH2-​ is a base: It can accept a proton (H+) and from conjugate acid. NH2-​(base)+H+NH3 ​(conjugate acid)
2.NH3 is a base: it can accept a proton(H+) and form conjugate acid. NH3(base)+H+NH4+​ (conjugate acid)
3.HCOO- is a base: it can accept a proton(H+) and form conjugate acid. HCOO(base)+H+HCOOH(conjugate acid)
