Formula to calculate rational analogue:

τ=r×F

where τ is the torque, r is the radius of the rotatory motion, and F is the force applied.

  2. Similarly, it is torque that is required to rotate a body.
  3. If net torque applied to the body about the axis of rotation is zero, then the body does not rotate.
