Solution

SI unit of electric charge:

  1. Some elementary particles carry an electric charge, which is a fundamental feature of matter that determines how the particles respond to an electric or magnetic field.
  2. Electric charge exists in definite quantities, can only be positive or negative, and cannot be created or destroyed.
  3. The coulomb, which is denoted by the sign C is the S.I. unit of electric charge.
  4. When a conductor experiences a one-ampere current for one second, we say that one Coulomb of charge is flowing.

Hence the SI unit of electric charge is Coulomb.
