Silver is used to make good quality mirrors. Why?

Silver is a metal of moderate melting temperature, malleable, best heat and conductivity of any metal, and high reflectance. It can be polished to a mirror shine which led to it being used to make mirrors. Because of their reflectivity, layers of aluminium and silver are often used. Silver is the most reflective across the visible spectrum, reflecting 95 per cent of light. Silver is shiny and is a good reflector.
