The life cycle of silkworm

• Silk moth → egg → silkworm → pupa
• Silk is a fibrous material that was one of the first to be identified by man, including alpaca, flax, silk, and cotton.
• When a female cotton moth lays eggs, her life cycle of the silk moth occurs.
• The worms or larvae of the silky moth are hatched from the silk moth's eggs.
• Mulberry leaves are used by silkworms to manufacture pupa.
• The silkworm creates a net around itself to keep itself alive during the pupa stage.
• It then swings its head back and forth, weaving a protein fibre that later becomes silk.
• The cocoon is a covering coating that wraps the pupa and is produced by several caterpillars.
