Resources is a vast concept. Resources are everything that is useful and contributes value to society. A resource is water, air, food, animals, plants, metals, minerals, and anything else that exists in nature and also has usefulness to human civilization. The value of such a resource is based on its functionality and other variables.

Resources that are drawn from Nature and used without much modification are called natural resources. The air we breathe, the water in our rivers and lakes, the soils, minerals are all-natural resources

Difference between potential and developed resources

The difference between potential and developed resources are tabulated below.

Potential resources Developed resources
As potential resources are the resources that are present in a specific area and can be used in the future. Developed resources are all those served and defined for their quality and quantity.
The exact quantity of the resource and its consistency is uncertain, so modern technology is needed to make maximum use of these resources. Developed resources are already formed and are currently being used.
