Auguste Comte is considered as the father of Sociology. He was a French philosopher. He studied and understood the norms of society. He depicted the importance of science to the public and society. Herbert Spencer, Emile Durkheim, Max Weber and others were strong supporters of Auguste Comte. While addressing a group of people in Public he used the term Sociology for the first time. He made the society understand the status of science for sociology. He was also known as the first social philosopher. Auguste Comte developed a “religion of humanity” to give positivist societies the unity among the people.
