What are the uses of objective lens in microscope?

Convex lens is a converging lens, that is, the light rays converge at a point when they pass through it. Due to this, they are used in the applications where a sharp focus on the object is required, and hence they are used as the objective lens of the microscope. The objective lens consists of several lenses to magnify an object and project a larger image. Objective lenses can be used for various applications such as high magnification and spatial filtering.
