From figure, it is clear that

Therefore, $A = 1$ unit
$D = 4$ units,
$G = 7$ units,
Therefore, Length of $A D = D - A = 4 - 1 = 3$ units,
Length of $D G = G - D = 7 - 4 = 3$ units.
$∴ A D = D G$
Hence, $D$ is the mid-point of $A G$ .
