Verifying x=12 is the zero of p(x)=2x+1or not:

In general, we can say that a zero of a polynomial p(x) is a number c, such that p(c)=0.

Therefore, if x=12 is the zero of p(x)=2x+1, then p12=0

p(x)=2x+1p12=2×12+1=1+1=20

Therefore, x=12 is not the zero of p(x)=2x+1.
