  • An emulsion can be categorized into two types:
  1. Oil in water type
  2. Water in oil type
  • "The process of making an emulsion is known as Emulsification."
  • An example of Water in oil type emulsion is Butter.
  • An example of Oil in water type emulsion is Milk.

Hence, water-in-oil emulsions are also called Oily emulsions.
