Collisions are defined as intercommunications between two bodies, which occurs for a short interval and during which redistribution of momenta occurs by neglecting other forces’ effect.
There are two types of collisions
- Elastic collision– The collision in which both momentum and kinetic energy are constant is called an elastic collision
- Inelastic collision– The collision in which the only momentum remains constant but not kinetic energy is called Inelastic collision.
