What are examples of anhydrous compounds?

Substances without water or substances that do not contain water are called anhydrous. The word means absence of water. The term is most often applied to crystalline substances after the water of crystallization is removed.

Examples of anhydrous compounds

Following are the examples of anhydrous substance:
i) Silica gel is one of the most commonly used anhydrous substance.
ii) Table salt is an example of anhydrous sodium chloride.

iii)Gaseous hydrogen chloride
