Solution

Fast reactions

Fast reactions are chemical reactions that occur in a very short time, such as less than 10-6 seconds.

Example of fast chemical reactions

  • Some reactions, such as ionic reactions, happen very fast; for example, combining aqueous solutions of Sodium chloride with Silver nitrate produces rapid precipitation of Silver chloride.
  • The combustion of natural gas is also an example of a fast chemical reaction.
  • A neutralization reaction between bases and acids is a fast chemical reaction. An example of this reaction is as follows:-

HCl(aq)+NaOH(aq)NaCl(aq)+H2O(l)
