Solution

Photosynthesis:

  1. It is a process in which light energy is used to produce food through cellular respiration that helps in the production of energy.
  2. The sunlight, water, and carbon dioxide are used to create oxygen.

Adaptations of leaf:

  1. The plant produces larger leaves, which means a larger surface area for maximum absorption of sunlight.
  2. Chloroplast contains a photosynthetic pigment called chlorophyll.
  3. The stomata are located on the backside of the leaves which helps regulate water loss from the leaves.
  4. leaves have a thin structure so that they can provide a short distance for carbon dioxide to diffuse into leaf cells
  5. The veins of leaves help to transport maximum water molecules and water to all parts of the leaves.
