There are many branches of agriculture, a few of them are listed below.

i) Agricultural engineering :

  2. Agricultural engineering is a branch of science that blends subjects of engineering with the knowledge of agriculture.

ii) Agricultural economics:

  1. The cost of farming is the subject of this section of applied economics.
  2. It combines the methods of both microeconomics and macroeconomics and applies them to a specific problem.

iii) Agronomy:

  1. Agronomy is the study and technique of harnessing plants to produce food, fuel, fiber, and land restoration in agriculture.
  2. Agronomy is the use of a variety of sciences such as biology, chemistry, economics, ecology, earth science, and genetics in agriculture.

iv) Animal science:

It mainly deals with breeding animals in return for meat, skin, and fur.

v) Horticulture:

  1. Horticulture is the field of agriculture that deals with the intense production of plants that are directly utilized by people for food, medicine, or aesthetic pleasure.
  2. Horticulture also refers to the practice of cultivating plants in a garden or on a farm.
