Solution

States of water that are found during the water cycle are discussed below:

Solid-state:

  • The solid-state of water is formed by the freezing of liquid molecules in the upper layer of the atmosphere.
  • The droplet of liquid falls on the Earth in the form of snow.

Liquid state:

  • The water vapor condenses in the atmosphere.
  • It falls on the Earth in the form of rain i.e. the liquid state of water.

Gaseous state:

  • The gaseous state of water occurs in the form of water vapor.
  • It evaporates from the water bodies and gets mixed with the air resulting in water vapor formation.

Thus, it is found in all three states during the water cycle.
