  2. They lack cell organelles except for ribosomes.
  3. The cell wall is present in bacteria.

Different types of bacteria:

  1. Bacillus:
  • The shape of the cell is rod-like.
  • Example - Bacillus anthracis

2. Coccus:

  • The shape of the cell is spherical or ovoid.
  • Example- Streptococcus pneumoniae.

3. Vibrio:

  • Comma shaped cell shape
  • Example- Vibrio cholerae

4. Spirilla:

  • The cell shape is spiral or helical
  • Example - Helicobacter pylori
