Open in App
Solution

LED (Light-emitting diode):

  1. A semiconductor device that can emit light when an electric current passes through it is called an LED.
  2. LEDs transform electrical energy immediately into light, allowing for more efficient light creation with minimal electricity consumption.

Types of LED:

There are mainly two kinds of LEDs, such as:

  1. Miniature LEDs - Chip, nano, as well as pico light-emitting diode are examples of these. These are the most generally employed LEDs, which come in some kind of a single color and form. They are used in remote controllers and calculators, etc.
  2. High power LEDs - Because of their high luminance, those same LEDs are however known as high-output LEDs. Such LEDs have been further categorized according to factors including luminance, voltage, as well as wavelengths.
