What are the main differences between mosses and ferns?

Ferns have vascular tissues, whereas mosses do not have vascular tissues. Ferns have roots, stems and leaves on the other hand, mosses do not have roots, stems and leaves. Ferns belong to Pteridophyta and mosses belong to Bryophyta. The dominant phase or generation in the life cycle of ferns is diploid sporophyte, and the dominant phase or generation in the life cycle of mosses is haploid gametophyte.
