Perfect gas is also known as an ideal gas. Following are the properties of perfect gas:
- The perfect gas consists of a number of identical molecules.
- When the volume occupied by the gas is compared with the volume occupied by the molecules, the volume of molecules is considered to be negligible.
- The movement of molecules is random and they obey Newton’s laws of motion.
- The collisions experienced by the molecules are considered to be completely elastic in nature and time taken is considered to be negligible.
