What do we mean by square and triangle numbers?

A number (such as 3, 6, 10, 15) representable by that many dots arranged in rows that form a triangle and that equals n(n+1)2 for some positive integer value of n is known as a triangle number. A square number or perfect square is an integer that is the square of an integer; in other words, it is the product of some integer with itself.
