Following are the possibilities that would take place if there was no moon:
- There would be no brightness at the night. The moon is the brightest object in the night sky after Venus. A full moon is nearly two thousand times brighter than the venus.
- The duration between days and nights would be shorter. If there was no moon then the day would last for six to twelve hours. It is because of the gravitational pull from the moon which makes days easier. In the absence of the moon, there would be 1000 days per year.
- There would be no solar and lunar eclipse.
- The oceanic tides would be much higher than they are now.
