The square root of any number is a number when multiplied by itself gives the original number. It is represented by the square root symbol .
Let us say a is a positive integer, such that

a.a=a2=a

  • Square root of a perfect square number is a perfect number.
  • If a number has an even number of zeros at the end then its square root will have half of it.
  • Square root of an even number is even and the square root of an odd number is odd.

Thus, a square root of any number is a number that when multiplied by itself gives the original number.
