Displacement:

The shortest path/length between the two points is called Displacement or, A shift inside an object's location is called displacement. It is a vector quantity with such a magnitude as well as an orientation.

Example: Whenever an item travels from location A to location B, its position changes.

Mathematical representation:

Mathematically, the displacement can be represented as:

Δx=xf-x0

Here,

x is displacement.

xf is the final position.

x0 is the initial position.
