Solution

Magnetism:

Magnetism refers to certain phenomena caused by magnet force, items that generate fields that repelled and attract other objects. It is the combined characteristic of electromagnetic force.

Magnet:

A magnet is defined as an item that can generate as well as attract magnetic fields unlike poles while repelling them like poles.

Properties of magnet:

  1. Whenever users dip a magnet into iron filings, they can see that the iron filings adhere towards the endpoints of the magnet because the attraction is the strongest at the extremities of the magnet. Magnet poles are the endpoints of a magnet.
  2. Magnetic poles usually exist through pairs.
  3. When a magnet has been hanging throughout mid-air, it almost always points north-south. This same pole pointing towards the geographic north is known as the North Pole, whereas the pole pointing towards the geographic southern is known as the South Pole.
