  1. Blood is a fluid connective tissue of the body that delivers oxygen and carbon dioxide to all parts of the body.
  2. Blood gets filtered in the lungs.
  3. The oxygen-carrying blood is called oxygenated blood, and carbon dioxide-carrying blood is called deoxygenated blood.
  4. The oxygen-carrying blood carries oxygen to all cells and tissues of the body.
  5. It is derived from the arteries of the heart and hence is called arterial blood.
  6. It travels from the heart to other parts of the body.
