Transformation of cosx into sinx:

By using complementary angles identities,

cos(x)=sinπ2-x

sin(x)+cos(x)=sin(x)+sinπ2-x

By using the trigonometric identity,

sin2x+cos2x=1cosx=1-sin2x

sin(x)+cos(x)=sin(x)+1-sin2x

Hence, sin(x)+cos(x)=sin(x)+sin(π2-x)

sin(x)+cos(x)=sin(x)+1-sin2x
