What is the function of xylem fibres?

The xylem tissue moves water and nutrients to various parts of the plant such as shoots and leaves. It is a vascular tissue responsible for the upward conduction of water and nutrients from the roots. Vascular tissue is a complex conducting tissue, formed of more than one cell type, found in vascular plants. The primary components of vascular tissue are the xylem and phloem.
