Moles of Sodium sulphite (Na2SO3) =10mol

Step 1. Formula for the number of moles:

Numberofmoles=MassMolarmass------------------------------------(I)

Step 2. Calculation of molar mass of Sodium sulphite:

Molar mass of Sodium sulphite (Na2SO3)=(2×Atomicmassofsodium)+(1×Atomicmassofsulphur)+(3×Atomicmassofoxygen)

=[(2×23)+(1×32)+(3×16)]gmol-1=126gmol-1

Step 3. Calculation of mass of Sodium sulphite:

Substituting the values in equation (I), we get

10mol=Mass126gmol-1Mass=126×10g=1260g

Hence, the mass of 10 moles of Sodium sulphite is 1260g.
