Solution

Define Numerical System

A number system is a way of representing the numerical values in a well-defined manner by the use of a limited set of symbols which can be digits or alphabets.

The most commonly used numerical system is the decimal system which uses the combination of the digits 0-9 to represent all the numbers.

Other examples of numerical systems are the binary system, which uses the digits 0 and 1 only, the octal system, which uses the digits 0-7, and the hexadecimal system which uses a set of 16 symbols, which are the digits 0-9 and the alphabets A-F.

The numerical system represents numbers in a way that they can be easily interpreted by the user once they know which numerical system's representation it is.
