Neurons are the structural and functional unit of the nervous system. Each neuron consists of dendrites, axon, and soma. Two parts are cyton and axon its receptors, cell body and axon helps conduct nerve impulses. They help in the transmission of sensory information to the central nervous system and the regulation and control of organs in the body.
