Determine the sum of any two odd or even numbers.

(a) Sum of any two Odd Number

An odd number is a number that cannot be divided into two equal groups i.e. not divisible by 2

The sum of any two odd numbers is an even number.

Example:

1+3=43+5=8

(b) Sum of any two Even Number

An even number is a number that can be divided into two equal groups i.e. divisible by2.

The sum of any two even numbers is an even number.

Example:

2+4=66+8=14

Hence, the sum of any two odd numbers or any two even numbers is an even number.
